In the heart of Monbazillac, on a hill overlooking the banks of the Dordogne and the historic town of Bergerac, the organic wines of exception of Château Grande Maison have been produced for decades (Monbazillac, Côtes de Bergerac, red/white Bergerac and rosé).

The thirteenth century fortified house has a unique environment :

Overall exposure is south facing on more or less accentuated hills.

The lake at the heart of the property offers an exceptional asset to promote botrytis, the fungus that creates the uniqueness and richness of Monbazillac

The soil is clay-limestone with silica in places that gives a certain acidity.

With quality as the overarching objective, the entire production is subject to the rules of organic farming and the biodynamic method, allowing our wines to express their character and the best of this region.
